This is a story of a Restoration

I restored this boat from April 2006 to October 2008. You will need to go to the very bottom, October 2008, to find the biginning. See blog archive on the right side.

Promised Pictures,

I showed you I wrapped the boat in saran wrap.  Then it blew off.  This was in Laramie, WY.

And here is my boat in the water at Alganoc, MI

The boat on the left of mine is Chad Durren's.  I met him on line about four years ago.  His boat won second place in this class.

And we had a fine time, he and his father.  Thanks, Chad, for coming.

Another online friend and his wife came to see "The Other Woman" also.  Mike and Stephanie Sindel from Defience. Ohio.  He found my blog  about two years ago, and we have been chatting since.  He owns a Chris-Craft Riviera, which they take out every evening for a ride from their dock on the river where they live.  I'm sorry I didn't take a picture of them.  Thanks, Mike and Stef.  Here is their blog http://woodie.ppworks.com/cruise/  Then click on CRUISE LOG.

Wow, his boat looks just like yours. Is it the same or are my non-boat eyes just not refined enough to see the differences?

Arlon, glad to see you and the Other Woman made it home in one piece.

Lisa, it is 2 feet longer and a Chris*Craft. We were restoring them at the same time.

Thanks, Chad, I'm home safe. I have quite a story to tell about that trip........

That's a pretty boat! I love it's shiny wooden hull. It reminds me so much of the lake we go to every summer where we fish a lot. And hey, you have a nice trailer! The boat fits perfectly! Is it custom made?

"The Other Woman". What a very humorous name for a boat! How I miss boating and fishing by the lake if only it wasn't because for our trailer missing some parts before the summer started last year. I really hope we get to fix it before the next summer! It was pretty hard to find time!
